About Your Coach
Meet the Chief Happiness Officer of Recipe For Happiness!
Mio has led a fascinating life, and has always managed to remain positive even when faced with what she calls "life’s little challenges", including having had difficult childhood, leaving home at the age of 15 to live overseas, getting divorced, becoming a single parent and being broke!
She believes she could stay "happy" despite facing such challenges in her life, due to her natural ability to self-coach. She always sets herself goals and always works hard at achieving them. Now she has been trained in the art of coaching, she wants to help the others create happiness and success just like she
has.
Mio is the first to acknowledge that life coaches do not lead perfect lives and she readily admits that she is not perfect, either! But she has fulfilling and happy life and loves being a life coach and she gets such a great satisfaction helping her clients achieve their true potential – potential the client him/herself may not have known existed…
Mio is an active member of numerous organisations, including:
- The Association of Professional Engineers, Scientists & Managers (APESMA)
- Geelong Chamber of Commerce
- Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI)

What coaching is NOT
Coaching is an effective personal and professional development tool for performance enhancement.
Coaching can be offered in addition to therapies, medications and other treatment in collaboration with the GPs, psychiatrists or psychologists.
However, coaching alone is not a therapy and is not suitable for dealing with issues such as:
- Dependency on alcohol or drugs
- Mental illness including extreme and/or violent mood swings and severe depression
- Issues relating to violence, abuse and/or other traumatic experiences (either being a victim or, being a perpetuator)
If your are experiencing any of the above issues, it is strongly recommended that professional help is sought from suitably qualified mental health experts such as a counsellor, therapists, psychologists or psychiatrists.
If you suspect you are severely depressed, suffer from mental illness or if there is a possibility of danger and harm to yourself or anyone else, please contact above mentioned experts, local hospital or call lifeline for help, support and assistance as soon as possible.
Testimonials
If you are still unsure whether or not coaching can help you, please take the time to read testimonials from other people whom Mio has helped with her unique ability to bring out the best in people.
